Little House Ornament Crochet Pattern



Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚❄️

I have got a super cute Little House Ornament crochet pattern for you today. It's worked in back and forth rows using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. There are so many ways you can use these little crochet houses - put on greeting cards an, use them as gift tags, use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to Christmas dinner tables.

Written pattern:

Measurments:
Height without hanging loop - 11 cm (4,3'') tall.
Width - 6 cm (2,36'') at widest point.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 5 grams (13 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
sp./sps - space / spaces
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

dc2(3) cluster - 2 or 3 double crochet cluster stitch - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together - (yarn over, insert the hook into indicated st.(or ch space), yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 2(3) times. Now you have 3(4) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3(4) loops.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets as directed.




Instructions:

Foundation chain: ch15



Row 1: 1dc into 3rd ch from hook and into each ch st. across. 
(13dc sts)

Row 2: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into first st., 1dc into next 3 sts, ch2, skip next 2 sts, 1dc into next st., ch2, skip next 2 sts, 1dc into remaining 4 sts.
(9dc sts, 2 ch2 sps)

Row 3: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into first st., 1dc into next 3 sts, ch2, skip next ch2, 1dc into next st., ch2, skip next ch2, 1dc into remaining 4 sts.
(9dc sts, 2 ch2 sps)

Row 4: repeat Row 3.

Row 5: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1dc into each st., 2dc into each ch2 sp. (13dc sts)

Row 6: ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3 cluster), turn, dc2 cluster into first st., 
(ch1, skip next st., dc3 cluster into next st.)* repeat across. 
(7 dc3 clusters, 6 ch1 sps)

Row 7: turn, skip first st., sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3 cluster), dc2 cluster into same ch1 sp.,
(ch1, skip next st., dc3 cluster into next ch1 sp.)* repeat across. 
(6 dc3 clusters, 5 ch1 sps)

Row 8 - 11: repeat Row 7.



Row 8: (5 dc3 clusters, 4 ch1 sps)

Row 9: (4 dc3 clusters, 3 ch1 sps)

Row 10: (3 dc3 clusters, 2 ch1 sps)

Row 11: (2 dc3 clusters, 1 ch1 sp.)

Row 12: turn, skip first st., sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same ch1 sp., to make the hanging loop - ch10, sl st. into base of sc st.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.


Care :  Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)
           Dry flat;
           Blocking or steaming recommended;
           Spray with starch if needed.

Cocoa Latte Triangle Shawl - Free Crochet Pattern


Today I would like to share with you my Cocoa Latte Shawl crochet pattern. This simple yet elegant lightweight triangle shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows. 
The pattern is worked using crochet stitches such as: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet and back post double crochet. 
All you need to start is one skein of your favourite fingering weight yarn (I used one skein of Alize Bella Ombre Batik gradient ''cake'' yarn) and a 4 mm crochet hook.

Written Pattern

Finished Size: Height - 61 cm (24''), Width - 144 cm (56,7'').

You can adjust the size of the shawl by adding or subtracting pattern repeats.
1 pattern repeat (Row 3 - 8) - approx 6 cm (2,36''). I made a total of 7 pattern repeats.


Gauge: 10 stitches = 5 cm (2’’) in double crochet.

Skill Level: Intermediate 


Materials Used:

  • Fingering weight yarn, size 1 - super fineI used Alize Bella Ombre Batik 100% cotton yarn in color 7410. 180 grams (650 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4.0 mm (US size G/6) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or a latch hook. 


  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    st./sts - stitch / stitches
    sp./sps - space / spaces
    ch - chain
    sc - single crochet

    dc - double crochet

    fpdc - front post double crochet - Yarn over, insert the hook from front to back to front around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.

    bpdc - back post double crochet - Yarn over, insert the hook from back to front to back around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.

    ()* – repeat the instructions between the brackets as directed.


    PATTERN NOTES:

    •  The shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows.
    • Beginning (turning) chains count as stitches – ch3 counts as 1dc, ch4 counts as 1dc + ch1.
    • Pattern repeat : Row 3 – 8.
    • Centre ch2 is not included into stitch count at the end of each row.







    Instructions

    Start with ch4, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

    Row 1 (right side): ch3 (counts as 1dc), (4dc, ch2, 5dc) into ring.

    Row 2 (wrong side): ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn, 1dc into first st., ch1,
    (skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 2 times,

    Row 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn, 2dc into first st.,

    Ch1, fasten off. Weave in all ends, steam and block the shawl.

    Oval Violet Doily - Free Crochet Pattern
