Oval Violet Doily - Free Crochet Pattern

Everyone! πŸ™‚

Today I have the Oval Violet Doily crochet pattern to share with you. It is made in only 15 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hookAll you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 
42 cm x 32 cm (16,5'' x 12,6'')

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions:

Foundation chain: ch22

Round 1: 5dc into the 4th ch st. from hook,


 
1dc into next 17 ch sts, 



6dc into last ch st., 



1dc into next 17 ch sts on the other side of the foundation chain.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round. 
(46 sts including ch3 at the beginning of round)




Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next 5 dc sts,
1dc into next 17 dc sts,
2dc into next 6 dc sts,
1dc into next 17 dc sts.
Join with a sl st. into first dc. 
(58 sts)

Round 3: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 
(1dc into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 10 times,
1dc into next 19 dc sts, 
(ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 11 times, 
1dc into next 17 dc sts.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 4: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2), 
(skip next ch1, 1dc into next dc st., ch2)* repeat 10 times, skip next ch1, 1dc into next dc st.,
(ch1, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 9 times,
(ch2, skip next ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 11 times,
(ch1, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 8 times, ch1,
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.


Round 5: ch6 (counts as 1dc + ch3),

Round 9: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into each dc st. around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 10: repeat Round 9.

Round 11: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next dc 4 sts, ch2,
(skip next dc st., 1dc into next 5 dc sts, ch2)* repeat 27 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 12: sl st. into next 4 dc sts, sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as 1dc), (1dc, ch3, 2dc, ch1) into same ch2 space,
(skip next 5 dc sts, (2dc, ch3, 2dc, ch1) into next ch2 space)* repeat 27 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

The doily might curl up at this round. Don't worry, it will flatten back down when further rounds are done!!!

Round 13: sl st. into next st., sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as 1dc), (2dc, ch2, 3dc) into same ch3 space, ch1, skip next 2 sts, 1sc into next ch1 space, ch1,
(skip next 2 sts, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into next ch3 space, ch1, skip next 2 sts, 1sc into next ch1 space, ch1)* repeat 27 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Crochet Chevron Stitch Table Runner - Free Pattern



Hello Everyone! πŸ™‚
Today I have a Chevron Stitch Rectangle Table Runner crochet pattern to share with you. The pattern uses 2 basic crochet stitches (chain and double crochet) and is worked in rows (back and forth). The chevron stitch is sometimes also called the zig zag stitch, it cosists of repeating V shapes which creates a zig zag border. It's also a great pattern for blankets, rugs and scarves.

Written Pattern

Size: The table runner measures approx. 29 cm x 68 cm (11.4'' x 26.8'').

You can adjust the length of the table runner by adding or subtracting pattern repeats.
1 pattern repeat - Rows 5 - 10 - approx 8,5 cm (3,4''). I made a total of 7 pattern repeats.

You can adjust the width of the table runner by adding or subtracting chain stitches in a multiple of 16 + 3.


Skill Level: Easy

Gauge: 6 stitches = 2,5 cm (1'') in double crochet.

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn in the colorway 11238. 90 grams (270 meters approx) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.5mm (US size E4) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    st./sts - stitch / stitches
    ch - chain
    sc - single crochet
    dc - double crochet

    skip next 3 ch sts., 1dc into next 7 ch sts. 
    (70dc sts, including ch3 at the beginning of row)

    Row 2 (wrong side): ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn, 1dc into first st., [ch1, skip next st., 1dc into next st.]* repeat 2 times,

    Row 11 - 46: repeat Row 5 - 10 six more times, or until you reach the desired length.



    Row 47: ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn, [1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next st.]* repeat 2 times,

    (skip next ch1, skip next 2 sts, skip next ch1, 1dc into next st., [1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next st.]* repeat 2 times, (2dc, ch3, 2dc) into next ch3 space, 1dc into next st., [1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next st.]* repeat 2 times)* repeat 4 times across,

    Filet Crochet Rectangular Table Runner - Free Pattern

    Today I have a Rectangle Table Runner crochet pattern to share with you. The pattern uses basic crochet stitches and is worked in rows (back and forth). All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

    Written Pattern

    Size: The table runner measures approx. 29 cm x 63 cm (11.4 in x 24.8 in).

    You can adjust the length of the table runner by adding or subtracting pattern repeats.
    1 pattern repeat - Rows 4 - 10 - approx 7.5 cm (2.95 in).
    Just make sure you end with an odd numbered pattern repeat! I made 7 pattern repeats.
    You can adjust the width of the table runner by adding or subtracting chain stitches in a multiple of 28 + 10.

    Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

    Gauge: 11 stitches x 4.5 rows = 5cm x 5cm (2 in x 2 in) in double crochet.

    Materials Used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn in the colorway 11243 (yellow). 90 grams (270 meters approx) of yarn needed for this pattern.

    • In Rows 2 - 53 work last dc stitch into 2nd ch of beginning (turning) ch2.

    28 x 2 + 10 = 66

    Row 1 (right side): 1dc into 3rd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch st. across.

    (ch1, skip next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 30 times across,
    1dc into each of last 2 sts.

    Row 4: ch2, turn, skip first st., 1dc into each of next 2 sts,

    (ch1, skip next ch1, 1dc into next st.)* repeat 2 times, 1dc into each of last 2 sts.

    Row 5: ch2, turn, skip first st., 1dc into each of next 2 sts,

    Row 11 - 52: repeat Rows 4 - 10 6 more times.

    Row 53: ch2, turn, skip first st., 1dc into each st., 1dc into each ch1 space. 
    (65 sts)
    Do not cut off the yarn!


    Edging:

    First edge:

    Round 1: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), turn, 1sc into first st.,
    (ch4, skip next 3 sts, 1sc into next st.)* repeat 16 times across.

    Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn,
    (1dc into next ch4 space, ch3, ch3picot, 3dc around 1dc post)* repeat 16 times across,
    1dc into last sc st.
    Cut off the yarn, fasten off.



    Second edge:
    With the wrong side facing up, join the yarn to the first st. of opposite end.

    Round 1: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into first st.,
    (ch4, skip next 3 sts, 1sc into next st.)* repeat 16 times across.

    Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn,
    (1dc into next ch4 space, ch3, ch3picot, 3dc around 1dc post)* repeat 16 times across,
    1dc into last sc st.
    Cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in all ends.
