Easy Rustic Flower Doily Free Crochet Pattern

Today i am sharing my Rustic Flower Doily pattern with you.
I think this pattern will work very well for those who are beginners at crocheting doilies. It is an easy doily pattern which is worked using the basic stitches.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 23 cm (9 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5329 (light green). 23 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.


Instructions:

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into the base of that ch3, 2dc into each st. around. (32sts)
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.



Round 3: ch1, 1sc into the base of that ch1, 
(ch4, skip 1st., 1sc into next st.)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 4: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch4,
(1sc into next ch4 space, ch4)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 5: sl st. into next ch4 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 8dc into that same ch4 space, 1sc into next ch4 space, 
(9dc into next ch4 space, 1sc into next ch4 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 6: sl st. into next 4 sts, ch1, 1sc into the base of that ch1, ch9,
(skip 9sts, 1sc into next st., ch9)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 7: ch3 (counts as a dc), 11dc into next ch9 space,
(1dc into next st., 11dc into next ch9 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 8: ch1, 1sc into the base of that ch1, 
(ch5, skip 2sts, 1sc into next st.)* repeat 31 times around.
Join with ch2 +1dc into first sc.

Round 9: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 31 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 10: repeat Round 9.



Round 11: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 11dc into next ch5 space,
(1sc into next ch5 space, 11dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.


Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Size: The doily placemat measures 28 cm (11 inches) in diameter.


Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Gauge: 10 stitches = 5cm (2 inches) in double crochet

Materials Used:

  • DK weight cotton acrylic blend yarn, size 3 - light. I used Nako Calico yarn. 25 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4mm (US size G/6) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

ch4picot - ch4, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

Two Color Flower Coaster Free Crochet Pattern

I have a lovely Two Color Flower Coaster crochet pattern for you today. 

If you can crochet the basic stitches, you are good to go. 
For this pattern i used fingering weight 100% cotton yarn (i just love using cotton for coasters 😍). I used two different colors - taupe beige and pink, but you can just keep it all the same color.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1,
(1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.


Round 3: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into that same ch1 space, ch2,
(2dc into next ch1 space, ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 4: sl st. into next st., sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch2 space, ch1,
(3dc into next ch2 space, ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch5,
(skip ch1, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch5)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc2tog.

Round 6: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch1, 6sc into that same ch5 space,
6sc into each ch5 space around (6sc* 15 times).
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 7: ch1, 1sc into same st., 1sc into next 2 sts, ch5, 1sc into next 3 sts,
(1sc into next 3 sts, ch5, 1sc into next 3 sts)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
