Crochet Coaster - Easy Pattern

Today i have a simple yet elegant Crochet Coaster Pattern to share with you. It is made in only 7 rounds using cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread.

Written Pattern:

Size: The coaster measures approximately 15cm (5.9 inches) in diameter

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:

  • Fingering weight, size 1 - super fine cotton yarn. 7 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain stitch
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2(3) double crochet closed together



Instructions:

Start with ch4, join with a sl st. into the first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1,
(1dc, ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.


Round 3: 1sl st. into ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into that same ch1 space, ch2,
(2dc into next ch1 space, ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 4: 1sl st. into next st., 1sl st. into ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch2 space, ch1,
(3dc into next ch2 space, ch1)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog, ch5,
(skip ch1, dc3tog, ch5)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc2tog.

Round 6: 1sl st. into ch5 space, ch1, 6sc into that same ch5 space,
6sc into each ch5 space around (6sc* 15 times).
Join with a sl st. into the first sc.

Round 7: ch1, 1sc into the base of that ch1, 2sc, ch5, 3sc,
(3sc, ch5, 3sc)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into the first sc.

ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
