Crochet Bella Doily Free Pattern



Hello everyone!🙂

Today i would like to introduce you to my Bella Doily. This crochet pattern uses puff stitches for added texture. It might appear complicated, but it is quite easy to crochet.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures 21cm (8.3 inches) in diameter.

Skill level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • Fingering weight cotton yarn, size 1 - super fine. 13 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain stitch
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
hdc3tog (puff stitch) - 3 half double crochet closed together
dc2tog - 2 double crochet closed together
2(3)dc cluster - 2(3) double crochet closed together into same stitch
trc3(4)tog - 3(4) treble crochet closed together

ch4picot - ch4, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.


Instructions:

Start with a magic (adjustable) ring or ch5 and join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc cluster into the base of that ch3 (that makes the first 3dc cluster), ch7,
(skip 1st., 3dc cluster, ch7)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the 2dc cluster.



Round 3: 2sl st. into ch7 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 6dc into that same ch7 space, ch1,
(7dc into next ch7 space, ch1)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc, ch1, skip 1st., 3dc ch2,
(3dc, ch1, skip 1st., 3dc, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc, ch1, skip ch1, 3dc, ch4,
(3dc, ch1, skip ch1, 3dc, ch4)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc, skip ch1, 3dc, ch3, hdc3tog into ch4 space, ch3,
(3dc, skip ch1, 3dc, ch3, hdc3tog into next ch4 space, ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 7: ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc, dc2tog, ch3, hdc3tog into ch3 space, ch3, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch3,
(dc2tog, 2dc, dc2tog, ch3, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch3, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the first dc.

Round 8: ch4 (counts as a trc), trc3tog, ch7, hdc3tog into ch3 space, ch5, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch7,
(trc4tog, ch7, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5, hdc3tog into next ch3 space, ch7)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the trc3tog.

Round 9: 1sl st. into ch7 space, ch1, 7sc into that same ch7 space, 5sc into ch5 space, 5sc into next ch5 space, 7sc into ch7 space, ch4picot,
(7sc into next ch7 space, 5sc into ch5 space, 5sc into next ch5 space, 7sc into ch7 space, ch4picot)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into the first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
