Crochet Granny Stitch Star - Free Pattern


Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚

I have got an easy Granny Stitch Star crochet pattern for you today. It's worked up in 3 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook.
If you can crochet the basic stitches, you are good to go.

Below you will find a video tutorial for the star as well as the written instructions.

Written Pattern:

Size: The star measures approx. 11 cm (4.3 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5309 (beige) and 5326 (grey). 4 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

ch3picotch3, insert the hook into the first ch, yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into the ring, ch2,
(3dc into the ring, ch2)* repeat 4 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.



Round 2: sl st. into next 2 sts, sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch2 space, ch2, 3dc into that same ch2 space,
((3dc, ch2, 3dc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 4 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 3: ch1, 1sc between first st. (ch3) and last st. (dc) of the previous round, (4trc, ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 4trc) into next ch2 space,
(1sc between the following 3rd and 4th sts, (4trc, ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 4trc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 4 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Flower Coaster Doily Free Crochet Pattern

Today i am sharing the Flower Coaster Doily crochet pattern with you.
This pattern will work very well for those who are beginners at crocheting doilies and coasters. It is made in 9 rounds using the cotton yarn.

Written Pattern:

Size: The coaster measures approximately 15 cm (5.9 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate



Materials Used: 

  • Fingering weightsize 1 - super fine cotton yarn. I used Alize Bella cotton yarn in the colorway 266 (mint green). 10 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3 mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch10, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch1, 20sc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 2: ch1, 1sc into same st., ch5,
(skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., ch5)* repeat 9 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 3: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 4dc into that same ch5 space,
(5dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 9 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 4: sl st. into next 2 sts, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into same st., 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd sts,
(skip 2 sts, 7dc into next st., 1sc between the following 2nd and 3rd sts)* repeat 9 times around.
Skip 2 sts, 3dc into next st. Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.



Round 5: ch1, 1sc into same st., ch6,
(skip 7 sts, 1sc into next st., ch6)* repeat 9 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 6: ch1, 1sc into same st., 8sc into next ch6 space,
(1sc into next st., 8sc into next ch6 space)* repeat 9 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 7: ch1, 1sc into same st.,
(ch5, skip 2 sts, 1sc into next st.)* repeat 29 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1trc into first sc.

Round 8: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that (ch1 + 1trc) space of the previous round, 
(3dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 29 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 9: sl st. into next st., ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into same st., 1sc between next 2 sts,
(skip 1 st., 3dc into next st., 1sc between next 2 sts)* repeat 29 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Crochet Spiced Autumn Infinity Scarf

Size:
Width: 22cm (8,6 inches), Length: 150cm (59 inches)

Materials:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Vidalana Dream yarn ( 300m/100g. 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere) in the colorway Pimento. 165 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4mm (US size G/6) crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook. 

Gauge:
16 stitches x 14 rounds = 10cm (4 inches) in half double crochet. 

Skill Level:
Easy to Intermediate

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double cochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
hdc5(4)tog - 5(4) half double crochet closed together.

hdc5tog (puff stitch)5 half double crochet closed together - Yarn over, insert your hook into stitch, yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch. Yarn over and insert your hook into same stitch 4 more times. Now you should have 11 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all 11 loops. 




Instructions:

The scarf is worked in the round.

Start with ch224 (or any even number to make the scarf shorter or longer), join with a sl st. into first ch. Be sure you don't twist the foundation chain!

Round 1: ch1, 1sc into same st., 1sc into each ch around.  
Join with a sl st. into  first sc.



Round 2 -3: ch2 (counts as a hdc), 1hdc into each st. around.  
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch2.

Round 4: ch4 (counts as a trc), ch1, 
*skip 1 st., 1trc into next st., ch1*, repeat from* to* around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch4.

Round 5:  sl st. into next ch1 space, ch2, hdc4tog into same ch1 space, ch1,  
*hdc5tog (puff stitch) into next ch1 space, ch1*, repeat from* to* around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the hdc4tog.

Round 6:  sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, 
*1dc into next ch1 space, ch1*, repeat from* to* around.  
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 7:  sl st. into next ch1 space, ch2, hdc4tog into same ch1 space, ch1, 
*hdc5tog (puff stitch) into next ch1 space, ch1*, repeat from* to* around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the hdc4tog.

Round 8:  sl st. into next ch1 space, ch4 (counts as a trc), ch1,
