12 Petal Flower Square Motif - Free Crochet Pattern




Hi Everyone! 😊
This time I am sharing the 12 Petal Flower Square crochet pattern with you.
It's worked up in 7 rounds using DK weight yarn and a 3,5 mm crochet hook. The square motifs are all joined along the way using the ''join as you go'' method. You can use them for pillow covers, afghans, tablecloths, tops dresses or any other projects of your choice.

Written Pattern:

Size: The square motif measures approx. 14 cm x 14 cm (5,5 inches x 5,5 inches)

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • DK weight yarn, size 3 - light. I used Nako Calico 50% cotton, 50% acrylic yarn. 12 grams (30 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3,5 mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch/stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together

dc2(3)tog – 2(3) double crochet closed together - (yarn over, insert the hook into indicated ch space, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 2(3) times. Now you have 3(4) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 3(4) loops.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.







Instructions:

Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1),
(1dc into ring, ch1)* repeat 11 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 2: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same ch1 space, ch3,
(1sc into next ch1 space, ch3)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.


Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3tog), dc2tog into same ch3 space, 
(ch5, dc3tog into next ch3 space)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into dc2tog at the beginning of the round to make last ch5.

Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch6,
(1sc into next ch5 space, ch6)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 5: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same sc st., 6sc into next ch6 space,
(1sc into next sc st., 6sc into next ch6 space)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 6: sl st. into next 3 sc sts, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same sc st., 1sc into next sc st.,
(ch6, skip next 5 sc sts, 1sc into next 2 sc sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1trc into first sc to make last ch6.

Round 7: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 2sc into same (ch2 + 1trc) space of the previous round, ch6, 2sc into next ch6 space, (6trc, ch6, 6trc) into next ch6 space,
(2sc into next ch6 space, ch6, 2sc into next ch6 space, (6trc, ch6, 6trc) into next ch6 space)* repeat 3 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Crochet Christmas Bell - Easy Pattern



Hello Everyone! πŸ™‚

I have got an easy Christmas Bell crochet pattern for you today. It's worked up in 10 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. Make a bunch and use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to Christmas dinner tables.
If you can crochet the basic stitches, you are good to go.

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 8 grams (20 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. / sts - stitch / stitches
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.


Instructions:

Start with ch4, sl st. into first ch to form a ring. 

Round 1: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 8hdc into ring. 
Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (8 sts) 

Round 2: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 2hdc into each hdc st. 
Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (16 sts) 

Round 3: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1hdc into same st., 2hdc into next st., (1hdc into next st., 2hdc into next st.)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (24 sts) 

Round 4 - 5: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1hdc into each hdc st. around. Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (24 sts) 


Round 6: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc into same hdc st., 
(skip next hdc st., (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into next hdc st.)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4. 

Round 7 - 8: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc into same ch1 space, 
(skip next 2 dc sts, (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into next ch1 space)* repeat 11 times around. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4. 

Round 9: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into same ch1 space, 
(skip next 2 dc sts, 4dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (48 sts) 

Round 10: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same st., ch5, skip next 2 dc sts, 1sc into next dc st., 
(1sc into next dc st., ch5, skip next 2 dc sts, 1sc into next dc st.)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into first sc. 

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends. 

Hanging loop: ch35, cut off the yarn. Make more or fewer chains depending on the length of your desired hanging loop.
Tie both ends together, grab your crochet hook, insert it through the bell from top, take the chain loop and pull. The knot will stay inside the bell.

Christmas Tree Ornament - Free Crochet Pattern




Hello Everyone! πŸ˜‰

Today I have a Christmas Tree Ornament crochet pattern to share with you. The tree is worked up in 4 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook.

If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook. You can go up in yarn and hook size to make a bigger Christmas tree.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.


Care :  Hand wash or machine wash (depends on the yarn you have used)

           Dry flat;

           Blocking or steaming recommended;

           Spray with starch if needed.
