Lotus Petal Doily Coaster Crochet Pattern



Hello Everyone!πŸ™‚

I have an easy Lotus Petal Doily Coaster crochet pattern for you today. This pattern is a nice project for your table or as a gift for any occasion. It's suitable for beginners who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches.All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook. I used sport weight mercerised cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. You can go up in yarn and hook size to crochet a bigger coaster.

Written Pattern:


Size: The coaster measures approx. 
14 cm (5,5'') in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy - advanced beginner

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar 100% mercerised cotton yarn - ball weight: 100g length: 260m.         11 grams (approx. 29 meters) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook. 

Abbreviations (US terms):

st(s) - stitch(es)
ch - chain
ch sp(s) - chain space(s)
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

[ ] - work all stitches inside the brackets in the same chain space.

( )* – repeat instructions between the parentheses as directed.

(   )stitch count for each round is listed in italic parentheses at the end of each round.







Instructions:

Start with ch5 and sl st in first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1 dc + ch1), 
(1 dc, ch1)* repeat 11 times in ring.
Join the round with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch4.
(12 dc, 12 ch1 sps)

Round 2: sl st in next ch1 sp, ch3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc in same ch1 sp, ch1,
(skip next st, 2 dc in next ch1 sp, ch1)* repeat 11 times around.
Join the round with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
(24 dc, 12 ch1 sps)

Round 3: sl st in next st, sl st in next ch1 sp, ch3 (counts as 1 dc), 2 dc in same ch1 sp, ch1,
(skip 2 sts, 3 dc in next ch1 sp, ch1)* repeat 11 times around.
Join the round with sl st in 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
(36 dc, 12 ch1 sps)

Round 4: sl st in next 2 sts, sl st in next ch1 sp, ch1 (doesn't count as a st), 1 sc in same ch1 sp, ch5,
(skip 3 sts, 1 sc in next ch1 sp, ch5)* repeat 11 times around.
Join the round with sl st in first sc.
(12 sc, 12 ch5 sps)

Round 5: sl st in next ch5 sp, ch1 (doesn't count as a st), 
[1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc] in same ch5 sp,
(skip next st, [1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc] in next ch5 sp)* repeat 11 times around.
Join the round with sl st in first sc.
(12 groups of [1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc])




Round 6: sl st in next 2 sts, ch1 (doesn't count as st), 1 sc in same st, ch4, skip next st, 1 sc in next st,
(ch4, skip 4 sts, 1 sc in next st, ch4, skip next st, 1sc in next st)* repeat 11 times around.
Join the round with ch1 + 1 dc in first sc (counts as last ch4 sp).
(24 sc, 24 ch4 sps)

Round 7: ch1 (doesn't count as a st), 1 sc in that same (ch1 + 1 dc) sp of previous round, skip next st, [4 dc, ch3, 4 dc] in next ch4 sp,
(skip next st, 1 sc in next ch4 sp, skip next st. [4 dc, ch3, 4 dc] in next ch4 sp)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with sl st in first sc.
(12 sc, 12 groups of [4 dc, ch3, 4 dc])

Ch1, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Crochet Coaster with Picots - Free Pattern

I have the Coaster with Picots crochet pattern to share with you today.
This pattern is a nice project for your table or as a gift for any occasion. It is made in only 6 rounds using sport weight (#2) cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook.

Written Pattern:

15 cm (5,9'') in diameter.

sk - skip
sp. - space
st. / sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

ch3picot ch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch made), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

( )* – repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch5 and join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.

Round 1: ch2 (doesn't counts as a st.), 16dc into ring.
Join with a sl st. into first dc st.  (16 dc sts)

Round 2: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), 2dc into same st., 
2dc into each of next 15 sts.

Round 3: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next st.,
(1dc into next st., 2dc into next st.)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc st.   (48 dc sts)


Round 4: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),
(sk next st., 1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

Round 5: sl st. into next ch2 sp., ch3 (counts as 1dc), (1dc, ch2, 2dc, ch1) into same ch2 sp.,
(sk next st., sk next ch2, sk next st., (2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch1) into next ch2 sp.)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 6: sl st. into next st., sl st. into next ch2 sp., ch3 (counts as 1dc), (2dc, ch3picot, 3dc, ch3picot, 3dc) into same ch2 sp., sk next 2 sts, 1sc into next ch1 sp.,
(sk next 2 sts, (3dc, ch3picot, 3dc, ch3picot, 3dc) into next ch2 sp., sk next 2 sts, 1sc into next ch1 sp.)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

(skip next st., 1dc into next ch1 space, ch2)* repeat 27 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

Round 5: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch6 (counts as 1dc + ch3),
(skip next st., 1dc into next ch2 space, ch3)* repeat 27 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch6.

Round 6: sl st. into next ch, sl st. into same ch3 space, ch1 (doesn't count as st.), 1sc into same ch3 space, skip next st., 7dc into next ch3 space,
(skip next st., 1sc into next ch3 space, skip next st., 7dc into next ch3 space)* repeat 13 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Granny's Picots Square Coaster Crochet Pattern

Today I am sharing the Granny's Picots Square Coaster crochet pattern with you. The coasters are worked in the round with top side always facing throughout. 
These can be used individually as coasters or joined together to create tablecloths, blankets, tops, dresses, etc. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook.

Written Pattern:


Size: The coaster measures approx. 13 x 13 cm (5.1 x 5.1 inches).

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.




Materials Used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn. 10 grams (32 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

3hdc puff (hdc3tog) - 3 half double crochet closed together - (Yarn over, insert your hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch)* repeat 3 times. Now you should have 7 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all 7 loops.  

ch3picot ch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch made), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Join with a sl st. into first sc st. at the beginning of round.

Round 6: sl st. into next st., ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 3hdc puff into same st., ch1, skip next st., 3hdc puff into next st., ch1, skip next st., (3hdc puff, ch3, 3hdc puff) into next corner ch3 space, ch1,
((skip next st., 3hdc puff into next st., ch1)* repeat 9 times, (3hdc puff, ch3, 3hdc puff) into next corner ch3 space, ch1)* repeat 3 times around,
(skip next st., 3hdc puff into next st., ch1)* repeat 7 times.
Join with a sl st. into first 3hdc puff st. at the beginning of round.


Round 7: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 2sc into same ch1 space, ch3picot, 2sc into next ch1 space, ch3picot, (2sc, ch3picot, 2sc, ch3picot, 2sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into next corner ch3 space,
