Today i'm here to share my Silver Frost Doily Placemat chrochet pattern with you. It is made in only 13 rounds using sport weight mercerised 100% cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. This doily placemat pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:
Size: The doily placemat measures approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) in diameter.
Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate
Materials Used:
- Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 5326 (silver grey). 45 grams (113 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
- 3.0 mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
- Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
ch3picot - ch3, insert the hook into first ch (into 3rd ch from the hook), yarn over, pull the yarn through all loops on hook.
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.
Instructions:
Round 1: ch1, 16hdc into ring.
Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (16 sts)
Round 2: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),
(1dc into next hdc st., ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.
Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next dc st., 2dc into next ch2 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (48 sts)
Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st.,
(skip next dc st., 2dc into next dc st.)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (48 sts)
Round 5: sl st. into next dc st., sl st. between next 2 dc sts, ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc between same 2 dc sts, ch1,
(2dc between the following 2nd and 3rd dc st., ch1)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
Round 6: sl st. into next dc st., sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into same ch1 space, ch1,
(skip next 2dc sts, 3dc into next ch1 space, ch1)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
Round 7: sl st. into next 2 dc sts., sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into same ch1 space, ch1,
(skip next 3dc sts, 3dc into next ch1 space, ch1)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.
Round 10: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 3 dc sts, 2dc into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next 4 dc sts, 2dc into next ch2 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (144 sts)
Round 11: ch6 (counts as 1dc + ch3), 1dc into same st., ch1,
(skip next 3 dc sts, (1dc, ch3, 1dc) into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 35 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch6.
Round 12: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch5 (counts as 1trc + ch1),
(1trc, ch1)* repeat 6 times into same ch3 space,
skip next dc st., skip next ch1, skip next dc st., 1sc into next ch3 space, ch1,
(skip next dc st., skip next ch1, skip next dc st., (1trc, ch1)* repeat 7 times into next ch3 space, skip next dc st., skip next ch1, skip next dc st., 1sc into next ch3 space, ch1)* repeat 17 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 4th ch of beginning ch5.
Round 13: sl st. into next ch1 space, sl st. into next trc st., ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), ch3picot, ch1,
(skip next ch1,1dc into next trc st., ch1, ch3picot, ch1)* repeat 3 times,
skip next ch1, 1dc into next trc st.,
(skip next ch1, skip next trc st., skip next ch1, skip next sc st., skip next ch1, skip next trc st., (skip next ch1, 1dc into next trc st., ch1, ch3picot, ch1)* repeat 4 times, skip next ch1, 1dc into next trc st.)* repeat 17 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.
Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
