Today i would like to introduce you to my Sunset Flower Doily crochet pattern. It is made in only 14 rounds using 100% cotton yarn. This doily pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:
Size: The doily measures approx. 29 cm (11,4 inches) in diameter.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Materials Used:
- Fingering weight cotton yarn, size 1 - super fine. I used Alize Bella 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 158 (lavender). 26 grams (94 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
- 3mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
- Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2tog - 2 double crochet closed together
ch3picot - ch3, insert the hook into first ch (into 3rd ch from the hook), yarn over, pull the yarn through all loops on hook.
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.
Instructions:
Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1,
(1dc, ch1)* repeat 11 times into ring.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of the beginning ch3.
Round 2: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch1, 1sc into same ch1 space,
(ch3, 1sc into next ch1 space)* repeat 11 times around.
Ch1 + 1hdc into first sc at the beginning of the round to make last ch3.
Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch3, 1dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc into next 2 ch sts,
(1dc into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc around that 1dc post)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of the beginning ch3.
Round 4: sl st. into next 3 ch sts, ch1, 1sc into same ch st., ch5,
(skip next 4 dc sts, 1sc into 3rd ch st. of next ch3, ch5)* repeat 11 times around.Join with a sl st. into first sc at the beginning of the round.
Round 5: ch1, 1hdc into same sc st., 5hdc into next ch5 space,
(1hdc into next sc st., 5hdc into next ch5 space)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first hdc at the beginning of the round.
Round 6: ch1, 2hdc into same hdc st., 1hdc into next 5 hdc sts,
(2hdc into next hdc st., 1hdc into next 5 hdc sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first hdc at the beginning of the round.
Round 7: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next hdc st., ch2,
(skip next hdc st., 1dc into next 13 hdc sts, ch2)* repeat 5 times around.
Skip next hdc st., 1dc into next hdc 11 sts. Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 8: sl st. into next dc st., sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, 1dc into that same ch2 space, ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 11 dc sts,
(ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next ch2 space, ch2, 1dc into that same ch2 space, ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc 11 sts)* repeat 5 times around.
Ch2, join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of the beginning ch3.
Round 9: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into that same ch2 space, ch2, 2dc into same ch2 space, ch3, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 9 dc sts,
(ch3, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space, ch3, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 9 dc sts)* repeat 5 times around.
Ch3, join with a sl st. on top of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 10: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next dc st., 4dc into next ch2 space, 1dc into next dc st., 2dc into next dc st., ch3, skip next ch3, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 7 dc sts,
(ch3, skip next dc st., skip next ch3, 2dc into next dc st., 1dc into next dc st., 4dc into next ch2 space, 1dc into next dc st., 2dc into next dc st., ch3, skip next ch3, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 7 dc sts)* repeat 5 times around.
Ch3, join with a sl st. on top of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 11: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, 1dc into same st., ch1, (1dc, ch1)* repeat into each of next 9 dc sts, 1dc into same dc st., ch2, skip next ch3, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 5 dc sts,
(ch2, skip next dc st., skip next ch3, 1dc into next dc st. ch1, 1dc into same dc st., ch1, (1dc, ch1)* repeat into each of next 9 dc sts, 1dc into same dc st., ch2, skip next ch3, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 5 dc sts)* repeat 5 times around.
Ch2, join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of the beginning ch3.
Round 12: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch1, 1sc into that same ch1 space, (ch3, 1sc)* repeat into each of next 10 ch1 spaces, ch4, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 3 dc sts,
(ch4, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., 1sc into next ch1 space, (ch3, 1sc)* repeat into each of next 10 ch1 spaces, ch4, skip next dc st., skip next ch2, skip next dc st., 1dc into next 3 dc sts)* repeat 5 times around.
Ch4, join with a sl st. into first sc at the beginning of the round.
Round 13: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch1, 1sc into that same ch3 space, (ch3, 1sc)* repeat into each of next 9 ch3 spaces, ch2, skip next sc st., 1sc into next ch4 space, ch2, 1dc into next 3 dc sts,

Round 14: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), ch3, 1dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc into next 2 ch sts, (1dc, ch3, 3dc around that 1dc post)* repeat into each of next 8 ch3 spaces, ch1, skip next sc st., skip next ch2, skip next sc st., skip next ch2, dc2tog using next 2dc sts, ch2, ch3picot, ch2, dc2tog using same dc st. and next dc st., ch1,

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
