Two Color Picot Square Placemat Crochet Pattern

Hi Everyone! 😊
This time I am sharing the Two Color Picot Square Placemat crochet pattern with you. I used two different colors - beige and pink, but you can just keep it all the same color. These can be used individually as placemats or joined together to create tablecloths, blankets, tops, dresses, etc. I also have a matching Square Picot Coaster crochet pattern which is made in one color.

Keep reading for the written pattern and a video tutorial!

Hope you enjoy!
Happy crocheting!😊

Part 1 Round 1 - 6

Part 2 Round 7 - 11

Written Pattern:

Size: The placemat measures approx. 25 cm x 25 cm (9.8 inches x 9.8 inches).

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.

Materials Used:

  •  DK / Worsted yarn, size 3 / 4 - light / medium. I used Drops Cotton Light 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester yarn in the colorways 21 (light beige) and 05 (light pink). 50 grams (105 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4mm ( US size G-6) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

3hdc puff (hdc3tog) - 3 half double crochet closed together - (Yarn over, insert your hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch)* repeat 3 times. Now you should have 7 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all 7 loops.
