Round Flower Placemat Doily - Free Crochet Pattern


Hello Everyone! ๐Ÿ˜‰


I have a lovely Round Flower Placemat Doily crochet pattern for you today. These doily placemats will definitely brighten up your table. ๐Ÿฅฐ
I used BPdc (back post double crochet) stitch to create a lovely textured design.

Written Pattern

Size:
The doily measures approximately 27 cm (10.6 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level:
Intermediate

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla cotton yarn in the colorway 4917 (light blue) - 35 grams of yarn needed for this pattern and Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo yarn in the colorway 11526 (Pink Coral) - 29 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3 mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.



Abbreviations (US terms)

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
BPdc - back post double crochet
BP sl st. - back post slip stitch

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 11dc into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next st.,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 2 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 2 sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.



Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 3 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 3 sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 4 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 4 sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.


Round 7: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 5 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 5 sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 8: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 6 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 6 sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 9: ch3 (counts as a dc), dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch5,
(dc4tog over next 4 sts, ch5)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the dc3tog.

Round 10: sl st. into next 3 ch sts of next ch5, ch4 (counts as a trc), ch1, (1trc, ch1)* repeat 3 times into that same ch5 space, 1trc into that same ch5 space,
((1trc, ch1)* repeat 4 times into next ch5 space, 1trc into that same ch5 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch4.


Round 11: BP sl st. around the beginning ch4 of Round 10, ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, (1BPdc around next trc st., ch1)* repeat 3 times, 1BPdc around next trc st., 
((1BPdc around next trc st, ch1)* repeat 4 times, 1BPdc around next trc st.)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 12: ch1, 1sc between first (ch3) st. and last (1BPdc) st. of Round 11, ch3, skip 1 dc st., 1sc into next dc st., ch5, 1sc into next dc st., ch7, 1sc into same st., ch5, 1sc into next dc st., ch3, 
(1sc between next 2 dc sts, ch3, skip next dc st., 1sc into next dc st., ch5, 1sc into next dc st., ch7, 1sc into same st., ch5, 1sc into next dc st., ch3)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc. 


Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
