Round Lacy Flower Doily - Free Crochet Pattern



Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚
This time I am sharing the Round Lacy Flower Doily crochet pattern with you. This pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches.
It's made in 19 rounds using sport weight linen, cotton and bamboo viskose blend yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook. You can go up in yarn and hook size to make a bigger doily.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approx. 35 cm (13.8 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy


Materials Used:


  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn in the colorway 11238 (chartreuse). 45 grams (135 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.



  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    st. / sts - stitch / stitches
    ch - chain
    sl st. - slip stitch
    sc - single crochet
    hdc - half double crochet
    dc - double crochet
    trc - treble crochet

    ()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

    Instructions:

    Note that the doily can curl up at some points of making it. Don't worry, it will flatten back down when further rounds are done!

    Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.

    Round 1: ch2 (doesn't count as a st.), 16dc into ring.
    Join with a sl st. into first dc. (16 sts)

    Round 2: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same dc st., 
    (ch3, 1sc into next dc st.)* repeat 15 times around.
    Join with ch1 + 1hdc (counts as last ch3) into first sc.


    Round 3: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch1 + 1hdc) space of previous round,
    (ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space)* repeat 15 times around.
    Join with ch1 + 1hdc (counts as last ch3) into first sc.

    Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch1 + 1hdc) space of previous round,
    (ch4, 1sc into next ch3 space)* repeat 15 times around.
    Join with ch1 + 1dc (counts as last ch4) into first sc.

    Round 5: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch1 + 1dc) space of previous round, ch4,
    (1sc into next ch4 space, ch4)* repeat 15 times around.
    Join with a sl st. into first sc.

    Round 6: sl st. into next ch4 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 8dc into same ch4 space, 1sc into next ch4 space,

    Round 10: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),

    Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

    Round 11: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1hdc into same st., 2hdc into next ch2 space,
    (1hdc into next dc st., 2hdc into next ch2 space)* repeat 51 times around.
    Join with a sl st. into first hdc. (156 sts)

    Round 12: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),
    (skip next 2 dc sts, 1dc into next dc st., ch2)* repeat 51 times around.

    Petal Coaster Crochet Pattern



    Hello Everyone!πŸ™‚
    I have an easy Petal Coaster crochet pattern for you today. It's suitable for those who are familiar with the basic stitches. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook. I used sport weight cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. I recommend using cotton yarn / thread for this pattern.

    Size: The coaster measures approx. 14 cm (5.5 inches) in diameter.

    Skill Level: Easy.

    Materials Used:

    • Sport weight cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn in the colorways (pictured) 69 (blush), 57 (mauve) and 21 (camel). 6 grams (20 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern. 
    • 3mm crochet hook.
    • Scissors.
    • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook. 


    Abbreviations (US terms):

    st./sts - stitch / stitches
    ch - chain
    sl st. - slip stitch
    sc - single crochet

    Stretch the ''petals'' into a neat shape and with the wrong side facing up, go over with a steam iron.
    Or, rinse well in cool water, stretch with pins on flat surface, leave to dry.
    Spray with starch if needed.

    • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 5055 (green). 42 grams (105 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
    • 3.0 mm crochet hook.
    • Scissors.
    • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
