Hearts Doily Coaster - Free Crochet Pattern

Today i am sharing the Hearts Doily Coaster crochet pattern with you.
This pattern will work very well for those who are beginners at crocheting doilies and coasters. This  cute coaster pattern is worked using the basic stitches.

Written Pattern:



Size: The coaster measures approx. 15 cm (5.9 inches) in diameter.


Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate



Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized 100% cotton yarn, size 2 – fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5313 (dusty rose). 13 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.



Abbreviations (US terms):


st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions

Start with ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. 


Round 1: ch1, 16sc into the ring. 

Join with a sl st. into first sc. 



Round 2: ch1, 1sc into same st., ch3, 
(skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., ch3)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into first sc. 

Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch3 space, ch2,
(3dc into next ch3 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. 

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next st., 2dc into next st., ch2, 
(skip ch2, 2dc into next st., 1dc into next st., 2dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. 


Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 3 sts, 2dc into next st., ch2, 
(skip ch2, 2dc into next st., 1dc into next 3sts, 2dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 5 sts, 2dc into next st., ch2, 
(skip ch2, 2dc into next st., 1dc into next 5 sts, 2dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. 


Round 7: ch1, 1sc into same st., skip 1 st., (2dc, 3trc, 2dc) into next st., skip 1 st.,  sl st. into next st., skip 1 st., (2dc, 3trc, 2dc) into next st., skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., sl st. into next ch2 space, 
(1sc into next st., skip 1 st., (2dc, 3trc, 2dc) into next st., skip 1 st., sl st. into next st., skip 1 st., (2dc, 3trc, 2dc) into next st., skip 1 st., 1sc into next st., sl st. into next ch2 space)* repeat 7 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into first sc. 

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
