Hearts Doily Crochet Pattern


Hello Everyone! πŸ™‚

Today I have the Hearts Doily crochet pattern to share with you. If you're looking for nice Valentine's day table decor ideas, this doily might be the one to get your hands on. 
It is made in only 13 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 28 cm (11'') in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy (advanced beginner)

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn in color 38 (coral). 40 grams (105 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

sk - skip
sp. - space
st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
dc3tog - 3 double crochet closed together

( )* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) loop.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 17dc into ring.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.  (18 sts)

Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.  (36 sts)

Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., ch2,
(sk next st., 1dc into next 2 sts, ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.


Round 4: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., 3dc into next ch2 sp.,
(1dc into next 2 sts, 3dc into next ch2 sp.)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.  (60 sts)

Round 5: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., ch2,
(sk next st., 1dc into next 2 sts, ch2)* repeat 19 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., 3dc into next ch2 sp.,
(1dc into next 2 sts, 3dc into next ch2 sp.)* repeat 19 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.  (100 sts)

Round 7: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., ch3,
(sk 2 sts, 1dc into next 2 sts, ch3)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 8: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into next st., 3dc into next ch3 sp.,
(1dc into next 2 sts, 3dc into next ch3 sp.)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.  (125 sts)

Round 9: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), 1dc into same st., ch3,
(sk 4 sts, (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into next st., ch3)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 10: sl st. into next ch1 sp., ch3 (counts as 1dc), 2dc into same ch1 sp., ch2, sk next st., 1sc into next ch3 sp., ch2,
(sk next st., 3dc into next ch1 sp., ch2, sk next st., 1sc into next ch3 sp., ch2)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 11: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next st., 2dc into next st., ch2,

Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.


Round 12: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 3 sts, 2dc into next st., ch1,
(sk next ch2, 2dc into next st., 1dc into next 3 sts, 2dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 13: ch2, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch3, sl st., into same st., ch2, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch3, sl st. into same st.,
(sk next ch1, sl st. into same st., ch2, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch3, sl st. into same st., ch2, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch3, sl st. into same st.)* repeat 24 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sl st.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Simple Macrame Crochet Tote Bag - Free Pattern

Today I am here to share the Simple Macrame Tote Bag crochet pattern with you. It's worked from the bottom up.The handle straps are crocheted directly onto the body so the bag is one piece with no extra seaming.
This pattern is written for those with basic crochet knowledge.To make this tote bag, you should be familiar with basic crochet stitches and terminology. You should also know how to crochet in the round.
I used DK weight (size 3 - light) YarnArt Macrame cord type polyester yarn and a 3,5 mm (E4) crochet hook.

Body of the bag

Round 4: ch4 (counts as 1trc), 1trc into next st., ch1, sk next st., 1trc into next st., ch1, 
(sk next st., 1trc into next 4 sts, ch1, sk next st., 1trc into next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around,
sk next st., 1trc into remaining 2 sts.
Join with a sl st. into 4th ch of beginning ch4.

Round 5 - 19: ch4 (counts as 1trc), 1trc into next st., ch1, sk next ch1, 1trc into next st., ch1,
(sk next ch1, 1trc into next 4 sts, ch1, sk next ch1, 1trc into next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around,
sk next ch1, 1trc into remaining 2 sts.
Join with a sl st. into 4th ch of beginning ch4.

Round 20: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into each st., 1sc into each ch1 sp. around.

Creating the handle straps

Round 22: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into each st., 1sc into each ch around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc st.
(240 sc sts)

Round 23: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc st.
(240 sc sts)

Fasten off, weave / sew in all ends using a yarn needle.

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn in color 368 (camel).                    
       45 grams (117 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
