Square Picot Coaster Crochet Pattern


Hi Everyone! 😊
Today i am sharing the Square Picot Coaster crochet pattern with you. This pattern is a nice project for your table or as a gift for any occasion. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook. You can go up in yarn and hook size to crochet a bigger coaster.

Written Pattern:


Size: The coaster measures approx. 13 x 13 cm (5.1 x 5.1 inches).

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.




Materials Used:

  • Fingering yarn, size 1 - super fine. I used Alize Bella Batik Design 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 1815. 10 grams (36 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

3hdc puff (hdc3tog) - 3 half double crochet closed together - (Yarn over, insert your hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch)* repeat 3 times. Now you should have 7 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all 7 loops.  

ch3(4)picot ch3 or ch4, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch made), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch4, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), (2dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2) into the ring.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.

Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 2 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space, 
(1 dc into next 3 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 3 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 4 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next 7 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 3 times around.
1dc into next 2 dc sts, join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.



Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), (ch1, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 3 times, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next dc st., (ch1, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 5 times, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 3 times around.
1dc into next dc st., ch1, skip next dc st., 1dc into next dc st., ch1. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), (1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 3 times, 1dc into next 2 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next 3 dc sts, (1dc into ch1 space, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 5 times, 1dc into next 2 dc sts, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 3 times around.
1dc into next 3 dc sts, 1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next dc st., 1dc into next ch1 space. Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.



Round 6: sl st. into next dc st., 3hdc puff into same dc st., ch1, (skip next dc st., 3hdc puff into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 4 times, (3hdc puff, ch4, 3hdc puff) into next ch2 space,
(ch1, (skip next dc st., 3hdc puff into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 9 times, (3hdc puff, ch4, 3hdc puff) into next ch2 space)* repeat 3 times around.
ch1, (skip next dc st., 3hdc puff into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 4 times. Join with a sl st. on top of the first 3hdc puff.

Round 7: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch1, (1sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into same ch1 space, (1sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into each of next 4 ch1 spaces, (1sc, ch3picot, 3sc, ch4picot, 3sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into next ch4 space,
((1sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into each of next 10 ch1 spaces, (1sc, ch3picot, 3sc, ch4picot, 3sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into next ch4 space)* repeat 3 times around.
(1sc, ch3picot, 1sc) into each of next 5 ch1 spaces. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Salmon Star Doily Free Crochet Pattern



Hello Everyone! πŸ™‚

Today i have the Salmon Star Doily crochet pattern to share with you. This doily pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches. It is made in only 12 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread.

Written Pattern:


Size: The doily measures approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 5320 (salmon). 40 grams (100 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet


dc2tog - 2 double crochet closed together

trc2(3,4)tog - 2, 3 or 4 treble crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:


Start with ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch2, 1dc into ring (first dc2tog made), ch3,

Granny Stitch Doily Crochet Pattern

This time i have an easy Granny Stitch Doily crochet pattern to share with you. It is made in only 14 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn. If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go.

Size: The doily measures approximately 27 cm (10,6 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.
Materials Used:
  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5329 (light green). 33 grams (83 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3.0mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet

    ((trc2tog, ch3)* repeat 4 times into next ch2 space, trc2tog into same ch2 space, ch2, 1sc into next ch4 space, 1sc into next ch4 space, ch2)* repeat 15 times around.
    Join with a sl st. on top of the first trc.

    Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
