Today i have the Salmon Star Doily crochet pattern to share with you. This doily pattern will work well for those who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches. It is made in only 12 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread.

Written Pattern:
Size: The doily measures approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) in diameter.
Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate
Materials Used:
- Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 5320 (salmon). 40 grams (100 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
- 3.0mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
- Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.
Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dc2tog - 2 double crochet closed together
trc2(3,4)tog - 2, 3 or 4 treble crochet closed together
()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.
Instructions:
Start with ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: ch2, 1dc into ring (first dc2tog made), ch3,
(dc2tog into ring, ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc.
Round 2: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into same ch3 space,
(4dc into next ch3 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next st.,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1 dc into next 2 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 2 sts)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into same st., 1dc into next 3 sts,
(2dc into next st., 1dc into next 3 sts)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next 9 sts, ch1,
(1dc into next 10 sts, ch1)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of the beginning ch3.
Round 7: ch2, 1dc into next st. (first dc2tog made), 1dc into next 6sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch5,
(skip next ch1, dc2tog over next 2 sts, 1dc into next 6 sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch5)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc.
Round 8: ch2, 1dc into next st. (first dc2tog made), 1dc into next 4 sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch2, dc2tog into next ch5 space, ch3, dc2tog into same ch5 space, ch2,
(dc2tog over next 2 sts, 1dc into next 4 sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch2, dc2tog into next ch5 space, ch3, dc2tog into same ch5 space, ch2)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc.
Round 9: ch2, 1dc into next st. (first dc2tog made), 1dc into next 2 sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch3, skip next ch2, skip next dc2tog, 9trc into next ch3 space, ch3,
(skip next dc2tog, skip next ch2, dc2tog over next 2 sts, 1dc into next 2 sts, dc2tog over next 2 sts, ch3, skip next ch2, skip next dc2tog, 9trc into next ch3 space, ch3)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc.
Round 10: ch3, trc3tog over next 3 sts (first trc4tog made), ch5, skip next ch3, (1dc, ch1)* repeat into each of next 8 sts, 1dc into next st.,
(ch5, skip next ch3, trc4tog over next 4 sts, ch5, skip next ch3, (1dc, ch1)* repeat into each of next 8 sts, 1dc into next st.)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc on top of the first trc3tog.
Round 11: ch1, 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch2, 1sc into next ch5 space, (trc2tog, ch4)* repeat into each of next 7 ch1 spaces, trc2tog into next ch1 space,
(1sc into next ch5 space, ch2, 1sc into next ch5 space, (trc2tog, ch4)* repeat into each of next 7 ch1 spaces, trc2tog into next ch1 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Round 12: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch1, 1sc into same ch2 space, (2sc, ch3, 2sc) into each of next 7 ch4 spaces,
(1sc into next ch2 space, (2sc, ch3, 2sc) into each of next 7 ch4 spaces)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

(1sc into next ch5 space, ch2, 1sc into next ch5 space, (trc2tog, ch4)* repeat into each of next 7 ch1 spaces, trc2tog into next ch1 space)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Round 12: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch1, 1sc into same ch2 space, (2sc, ch3, 2sc) into each of next 7 ch4 spaces,
(1sc into next ch2 space, (2sc, ch3, 2sc) into each of next 7 ch4 spaces)* repeat 7 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.
Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
