Cocoa Latte Triangle Shawl - Free Crochet Pattern


Today I would like to share with you my Cocoa Latte Shawl crochet pattern. This simple yet elegant lightweight triangle shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows. 
The pattern is worked using crochet stitches such as: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet and back post double crochet. 
All you need to start is one skein of your favourite fingering weight yarn (I used one skein of Alize Bella Ombre Batik gradient ''cake'' yarn) and a 4 mm crochet hook.

Written Pattern

Finished Size: Height - 61 cm (24''), Width - 144 cm (56,7'').

You can adjust the size of the shawl by adding or subtracting pattern repeats.
1 pattern repeat (Row 3 - 8) - approx 6 cm (2,36''). I made a total of 7 pattern repeats.


Gauge: 10 stitches = 5 cm (2’’) in double crochet.

Skill Level: Intermediate 


Materials Used:

  • Fingering weight yarn, size 1 - super fineI used Alize Bella Ombre Batik 100% cotton yarn in color 7410. 180 grams (650 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4.0 mm (US size G/6) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or a latch hook. 


  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    st./sts - stitch / stitches
    sp./sps - space / spaces
    ch - chain
    sc - single crochet

    dc - double crochet

    fpdc - front post double crochet - Yarn over, insert the hook from front to back to front around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.

    bpdc - back post double crochet - Yarn over, insert the hook from back to front to back around the post of the next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through remaining 2 loops on hook.

    ()* – repeat the instructions between the brackets as directed.


    PATTERN NOTES:

    •  The shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows.
    • Beginning (turning) chains count as stitches – ch3 counts as 1dc, ch4 counts as 1dc + ch1.
    • Pattern repeat : Row 3 – 8.
    • Centre ch2 is not included into stitch count at the end of each row.







    Instructions

    Start with ch4, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

    Row 1 (right side): ch3 (counts as 1dc), (4dc, ch2, 5dc) into ring. 
    (10 dc sts)

    Row 2 (wrong side): ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn, 1dc into first st., ch1,
    (skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 2 times,
    (1dc, ch2, 1dc, ch1) into centre ch2 space,
    1dc into next st., ch1, skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch1,
    skip next st., (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into 3rd ch of beginning ch3 of previous row. 
    (10 dc sts, 8 ch1 sps)


    Row 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), turn, 2dc into first st.,
    (1dc into next ch1 sp., 1dc into next st.)* repeat until centre ch2,
    (2dc, ch2, 2dc) into centre ch2 sp., 1dc into next st.,

    Rainforest Shawl - One Skein Triangle Shawl Crochet Pattern

     

    Hi Everyone!πŸ™‚

    Today I would like to share the Rainforest Shawl crochet pattern with you. This elegant lightweight triangle shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows. To make this shawl, you should be familiar with basic crochet stitches and terminology. All you need to start is one skein of your favourite fingering weight yarn (I used one skein of YarnArt Flowers gradient ''cake'' yarn) and a 4 mm crochet hook.

    Written Pattern

    Finished Size: Height - 80 cm (31,5''), Width - 160 cm (63'').
    You can adjust the size of the shawl by adding or subtracting pattern repeats -
    (Row 5 and Rows 28 - 31).


    Gauge: 9 stitches x 5 rows = 5cm x 5cm (2’’ x 2’’) in double crochet.

    Rose Sienna Shawl - Free Crochet Pattern

    This time I would like to share my Rose Sienna Triangle Shawl crochet pattern with you. This simple yet beautiful lightweight triangle shawl is worked from the top down, in back and forth rows. To make this item, you should be familiar with basic crochet stitches and terminology.
