Easy Little Doily Crochet Pattern

Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚

I have got an easy Little Doily crochet pattern for you today. It's worked up in 12 rounds using sport weight mercerised 100% cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook.
If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 24 cm
(9.5 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 350 (sea blue). 22 grams (58 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

dc3(4)tog – 3(4) double crochet closed together - (yarn over, insert the hook into indicated ch space, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 3(4) times. Now you have 4(5) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 4(5) loops.

trc4(5)tog  4(5) treble crochet closed together - (yarn over twice, insert the hook into next st., yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on hook)* repeat 4(5) times. Now you have 5(6) loops on hook. Yarn over and pull through all 5(6) loops.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.


Instructions:

Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1),
(1dc into ring, ch1)* repeat 11 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 2: ch5 (counts as 1dc + ch2),
(skip next ch1, 1dc into next dc st., ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch5.

Round 3: sl st. into next ch2 space, ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc4tog), dc3tog into same ch2 space, ch5,
(dc4tog into next ch2 space, ch5)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first dc3tog.

Round 4: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch3 (counts as 1dc), 4dc into same ch5 space, ch2,
(5dc into next ch5 space, ch2)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as 1trc of trc5tog), trc4tog over next 4 dc sts, ch4, 1dc into next ch2 space,
(ch4, dc5tog over next 5 dc sts, ch4, 1dc into next ch2 space)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1dc (counts as last ch4) into first dc4tog.

Round 6: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch1 + 1dc) space of previous round,
(ch5, 1sc into next ch4 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc (counts as last ch5) into first sc. 

Round 7: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of previous round,
(ch6, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1trc (counts as last ch6) into first sc. 

Round 8: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1trc) space of previous round,
(ch6, 1sc into next ch6 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1trc (counts as last ch6) into first sc.

Round 9: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1trc) space of previous round,
(ch7, 1sc into next ch6 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch3 + 1trc (counts as last ch7) into first sc.


Round 10: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch3 + 1trc) space of previous round,
(ch8, 1sc into next ch7 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with ch3 + 1dtrc (counts as last ch8) into first sc.

Round 11: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that same (ch3 + 1dtrc) space of previous round, ch9,
(1sc into next ch8 space, ch9)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 12: sl st. into next ch9 space, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 5sc into same ch9 space, ch3, 5sc into same ch9 space,
(5sc into next ch9 space, ch3, 5sc into same ch9 space)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Easy Crochet Granny Square Motif



Hi Everyone! 😊
Today i am sharing an easy Granny Square Motif crochet pattern with you. The squares are worked in the round with top side always facing throughout. These can be used individually as coasters or joined together to create tablecloths, blankets, tops, etc.

Written Pattern:

Size: The square motif measures approx. 14 cm x 14 cm (5,5 inches x 5,5 inches)

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • DK weight yarn, size 3 - light. I used Nako Calico 50% cotton, 50% acrylic yarn. 13 grams (32 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3,5 mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch/stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc3tog - 3 treble crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as st.), 1sc into same st.,
(ch5, skip next 2 dc sts, 1sc into next dc st.)* repeat 15 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc to make last ch5.

Round 5: ch1 (doesn't count as st., 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of previous round, ch7, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space,
(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch7, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 3 times around.

12 Petal Flower Square Motif - Free Crochet Pattern

This time I am sharing the 12 Petal Flower Square crochet pattern with you.
It's worked up in 7 rounds using DK weight yarn and a 3,5 mm crochet hook. The square motifs are all joined along the way using the ''join as you go'' method. You can use them for pillow covers, afghans, tablecloths, tops dresses or any other projects of your choice.

Round 6: sl st. into next 3 sc sts, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into same sc st., 1sc into next sc st.,
(ch6, skip next 5 sc sts, 1sc into next 2 sc sts)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with ch2 + 1trc into first sc to make last ch6.

Star Ornament Crochet Pattern

Today I have a cute Star Ornament crochet pattern to share with you. It's made just in 5 rounds using a sport weight yarn and a  3mm crochet hook.
You can use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to walls and windows.

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn. 5 grams (15 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. / sts - stitch / stitches
sl st. - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2tog - 2 double crochet closed together

ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.
ch5picot - ch5, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch, yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.
