Snow White Lace Coaster - Free Crochet Pattern


Hi Everyone! πŸ˜‰

I have another simple yet elegant Snow White Lace Coaster pattern from 2018 to share with you. It is made in only 6 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hookThese coasters would be the perfect way to dress up your table, they would also look great as Christmas decorations.

Written Pattern:

Size: The coaster measures approx. 13 cm (5.1 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 0000 (white). 8 grams (20 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st. / sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with  ch6, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as a 1dc + ch1),
(1dc into the ring, ch1)* repeat 11 times. 
Join with a  sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 2: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), dc2tog into that same ch1 space, ch5,
(dc3tog into next ch1 space, ch5)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into first dc2tog.

Round 3: sl st. into next 2 ch sts of next ch5, ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into that same ch5 space,
(4dc into next ch5 space)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. (48 sts)

Round 4: ch1 (doesn’t count as a st.), 1sc into same st., ch5, skip next 3 dc sts., 1sc into next dc st.,
(ch5, skip next 3 dc sts., 1sc into next dc st.)* repeat 10 times around.  
Join with  ch2 + 1dc into first sc.


Round 5: ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch7,
(1sc into next ch5 space, ch7)* repeat 11 times around. 
Join with a  sl st. into first sc.

Round 6:  sl st. into next ch7 space, ch1 (doesn't count as a st.), (2sc, ch4, 1sc, ch4, 1sc, ch6, 1sc, ch4, 1sc, ch4, 2sc) into that same  ch7 space, 9sc into next ch7 space,
((2sc, ch4, 1sc, ch4, 1sc, ch6, 1sc, ch4, 1sc, ch4, 2sc) into next ch7 space, 9sc into next ch7 space)* repeat 5 times around. 
Join with a  sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Crochet Puff Snowflake Ornament Motif


Hello Everyone! πŸ˜‰
Here's another crochet Puff Snowflake Ornament pattern for you. The snowflakes are worked up in 5 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook.  Use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to walls and windows. You can even use the snowflakes as coasters or join them together to make a festive tablecloth or a doily.

sp. - space
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

4hdc puff - 4 half double crochet puff stitch - (Yarn over, insert your hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull the yarn through the stitch)* repeat 4 times. Now you should have 9 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the yarn through all 9 loops.

ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into first ch made (into 3rd ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

ch7picot - ch7, insert your hook into first ch made (into 7th ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:

Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch1, 12hdc into ring. Join with a sl st. into first hdc.

Round 2: ch2, 4hdc puff into same st., 

(ch5, 4hdc puff into next st.)* repeat 11 times around. Join with ch2 + 1dc on top of the first 4hdc puff to make last ch5.

Round 3: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, 

(ch5, 1sc into next ch5 space)* repeat 11 times around. Join with ch2 + 1dc into first sc.

Round 4: ch1, 1sc into that (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch1, (1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1) into next ch5 space, 

(1sc into next ch5 space, ch1, (1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1trc, ch1, 1dc, ch1, 1dc, ch1) into next ch5 space)* repeat 5 times around. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 5: (ch3, skip next ch1 sp., 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch4, 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch2, ch7picot, ch2, 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch4, 1sc into next ch1 sp., ch3, skip next ch1 sp., sl st. into next sc st.)* repeat 6 times around.

Crochet Snowflake Ornament Free Pattern



Hi Everyone! πŸ™‚

Today I have a cute Snowflake Ornament crochet pattern to share with you. It's worked up in 4 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. If you would like to make the snowflakes smaller or larger, sustitute any yarn/thread weight. You can use them as decorations anywhere in your home, from Christmas trees to walls and windows.

Written pattern:

Size:
The snowflake measures approx. 13 cm (5.1 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level:
Easy to Intermediate

Materials used:

  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Nako Fiore 25% linen, 35% cotton, 40% bamboo viscose yarn in the colorway 2378 (milky white). 4 grams (12 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):
st. - stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet
dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together
trc4(5)tog - 4 or 5 treble crochet closed together

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: ch1, 12 sc into ring. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 2: ch1, 1sc into same st., ch3, 

(1sc into next st., ch3)* repeat 11 times around. 

Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 3: sl st. into next ch3 space, ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3tog), dc2tog into same ch3 space - first dc3tog made, ch5,

(dc3tog into next ch3 space, ch5)* repeat 11 times around. 

Join with a sl st. on top of the first dc2tog.

Round 4: sl st. into next ch5 space, ch3 (counts as 1 trc of trc5tog), trc4tog into same ch5 space - first trc5tog made, ch4, sl st. into base of that ch4, ch6, sl st. into base of that same ch4, ch4, sl st. into base of that same first ch4, ch7, sl st. into next ch5 space, ch7,

(trc5tog into next ch5 space, ch4, sl st. into base of that ch4, ch6, sl st. into base of that same ch4, ch4, sl st. into base of that same first ch4, ch7, sl st. into next ch5 space, ch7)* repeat 5 times around. 

Join with a sl st. on top of the first trc4tog.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.

Crochet Granny Stitch Star - Free Pattern

I have got an easy Granny Stitch Star crochet pattern for you today. It's worked up in 3 rounds using sport weight cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook.
If you can crochet the basic stitches, you are good to go.

Size: The star measures approx. 11 cm (4.3 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate.

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5309 (beige) and 5326 (grey). 4 grams of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st. - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

ch3picotch3, insert the hook into the first ch, yarn over and pull the yarn through all loops on the hook.

Round 3: ch1, 1sc between first st. (ch3) and last st. (dc) of the previous round, (4trc, ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 4trc) into next ch2 space,
(1sc between the following 3rd and 4th sts, (4trc, ch2, ch3picot, ch2, 4trc) into next ch2 space)* repeat 4 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Ch1, cut off the yarn, fasten off and weave in the ends.
