Tote Net Bag - Free Crochet Pattern

Today I am here to share my Tote Net Bag crochet pattern with you. It's worked from the bottom up, in joined rounds using basic crochet stitches - chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochetThe straps are made as separate pieces and attached to the bag after it's completed.
I used DK weight (size 3 - light) YarnArt Macrame cord type polyester yarn and a 4mm (G) crochet hook.

Written Pattern:

Finished Size: Height without handle straps: 32cm (12,6''),
Width: 33cm (13''),
Depth: 8cm (3,1'')

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:

  • DK weight cord type polyester yarn, size 3 - light. I used YarnArt Macrame - (90 grams / 130 meters) - 100% Polyester. 4 skeins (approx 310 grams, 448 meters) needed for this pattern. 
  • 4mm  (G) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle.
  • 4 stitch markers.
  • Measuring tape.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet

( )* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.




Instructions:


Foundation chain: ch47

Round 1: 2dc into 4th ch from hook, 1dc into next 42 ch sts, 6dc into last ch st., 1dc into next 42 ch sts on the other side of foundation chain, 3dc into last ch st. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. 
(96 dc sts including ch3 at the beginning of round)


Round 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next 2 sts, 1dc into next 42 sts, 2dc into next 6 sts, 1dc into next 42 sts, 2dc into remaining 3 sts. 
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. 
(108 dc sts)

Round 3: ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same st., 2dc into next 3 sts., 1dc into next 46 sts, 2dc into next 8 sts, 1dc into next 46 sts, 2dc into remaining 4 sts. Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3. 
(124 dc sts)

Round 4: ch1 (doesn't count as st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.  
(124 sc sts)

Round 5: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1), turn your work
(skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 61 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.  
(62 dc sts, 62 ch1)

Round 6: ch1 (doesn't count as st.), turn your work, 1sc into same st., 1sc into next ch1 sp.,
(1sc into next st., 1sc into next ch1 sp.)* repeat 61 times around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.  
(124 sc sts)

Round 7 - 36: repeat Round 5 - 6.

Round 37: ch1 (doesn't count as st.), 1sc into same st., 1sc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. into first sc.  
(124 sc sts)

Round 38: sl st. into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. into first sl st.  
(124 sl sts)

Fasten off and weave / sew in all ends using a yarn needle or a latch hook.


Bag Strap:

Make 2!

Leave approx 20cm long tail for sewing strap to the bag.

Ch2, 1sc into 2nd ch from hook.



Turn, 1sc into side loop.




(turn, 1sc into 2 side loops)* repeat until the strap is approx 75cm long.





Fasten off, leaving approx 20cm long tail for sewing strap to the bag.


Attach the straps

Lay your bag on a flat surface and measure approx 8cm from both sides of the bag, place stitch markers to Round 35.


 
Insert the strap from inside to outside through marked ch1 space in Round 35.
Make a knot.



Sew the strap into place so the knot doesn't slip through the ch space.




Attach the oposite end of strap in the same manner.


Fasten off, sew  / weave in the ends.

Granny Stitch Doily Placemat Crochet Pattern



Hello Everyone! πŸ˜‰
I have an easy Granny Stitch Doily Placemat crochet pattern for you today. It's made in 15 rounds using sport weight mercerised cotton yarn and a 3mm crochet hook.
This pattern suitable for beginners who are familiar with the basic stitches. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 
31 cm (12,2 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:

  • Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Alize Bahar mercerised 100% cotton yarn. 50 grams (130 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch / stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

( )* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.



Instructions:

Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.

Round 1: ch4 (counts as 1dc + ch1),
(1dc into ring, ch1)* repeat 11 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch4.

Round 2: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc into same ch1 space, ch1,
(skip next st., 2dc into next ch1 space, ch1)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Round 3: sl st. into next st., sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as 1dc), 2dc into same ch1 space,
(skip next 2 sts, 3dc into next ch1 space, ch1)* repeat 11 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch of beginning ch3.

Join with a sl st. into first sc.

Round 14: sl st. into next ch7 space, ch4 (counts as 1trc), 11trc into same ch7 space, skip next st., 1sc into next ch7 space,
(skip next st., 12trc into next ch7 space, skip next st., 1sc into next ch7 space)* repeat 14 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 4th ch of beginning ch4.


Round 15: ch1 (doesn't count as st.), 1sc into same st., ch4, skip next st., 1sc into next st., ch4, skip next st., 1sc into next st., ch6, skip next 2 sts, 1sc into next st., ch4, skip next st., 1sc into next st., ch4, skip next st., 1sc into next st., sl st. into next st.,

Classic Tote Shoulder Bag - Easy Crochet Pattern


Hi everyone!πŸ™‚

This time I would like to share the Classic Tote Shoulder Bag crochet pattern with you. This beautiful bag will suit any style and any occasion. It's very easy to make - worked in joined rounds using basic stitches - chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet.
I used YarnArt Macrame Cottonbut any worsted weight cotton or cotton blend yarn will work.
