Oval Picot Placemat / Table Runner Crochet Pattern



Hello Everyone! πŸ˜‰
Today i'm here to share my Oval Picot Placemat chrochet pattern. It is made in only 12 rounds using DK weight cotton acrylic blend yarn. You can use any type of yarn or thread. This pattern is a nice project for your table or as a gift for any occasion.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 37 cm x 29 cm (14.6 inches x 11.4 inches).

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • DK weight yarn, size 3 - light. I used Nako Calico 50% cotton, 50% acrylic yarn 100g/245m in the colorway 4492 (Light Yellow). 44 grams (108 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 4.0 mm (US size G/6) crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch/stitches
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch made - into 3rd ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.
ch4picot - ch4, insert your hook into the center of the base stitch (or, insert the hook into first ch made - into 4th ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

Instructions:

Foundation: ch22

Round 1: 1dc into 6th ch from hook, (ch2, 1dc)* repeat 2 times into that same ch st.


 
Ch1, (skip next ch st., 1dc into next ch st., ch1)* repeat 7 times until you have 2 ch sts left. 


(1dc, ch2)* repeat 3 times into last ch st., 1dc into that same last ch st. 



Now you are going to work on the other side of the foundation chain. 
Ch1, (skip next ch st., 1dc into next ch st.)* repeat 7 times. 
Join into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.




Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch2, 1dc into next dc st., 
(ch2, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch2, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 2 times.



(ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 8 times.
(ch2, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch2, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 3 times.
Ch1, (1dc into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 7 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch1, 1dc into next dc st.,
(ch1, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 5 times.
(ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 8 times.
(ch1, 1dc into next ch2 space, ch1, 1dc into next dc st.)* repeat 6 times.
Ch1, (1dc into next dc st., ch1)* repeat 7 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into next ch1 space,
(1dc into next dc st., 1dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 39 times around.
Join with a sl st. on top of beginning ch3. (80 sts)

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, skip next st., 1dc into next st.,
(ch2, skip next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 11 times.
(ch1, skip next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 8 times.
(ch2, skip next st., 1dc into next st.)* repeat 12 times.
Ch1, (skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch1)* repat 7 times.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), 3dc into next ch2 space,
(1dc into next dc st., 3dc into next ch2 space)* repeat 11 times.
(1dc into next dc st., 1dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 8 times.
(1dc into next dc st., 3dc into next ch2 space)* repeat 12 times.
(1dc into next dc st., 1dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 8 times.
Join with a sl st. on top of beginning ch3. (128 sts)

Round 7: ch3 (counts as a dc), 1dc into each st. around.
Join with a sl st. on top of beginning ch3. (128 sts)

Round 8: repeat Round 7. (128 sts)

Round 9: ch1, 1sc into same st., 
(ch3, skip next st., 1sc into next st.)* repeat 63 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1hdc into first sc at the beginning of the round to make last ch3.

Round 10: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1hdc) space of the previous round, 
(ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space)* repeat 63 times around.
Join with ch1 + 1hdc into first sc at the beginning of the round to make last ch3.

Round 11: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1hdc) space of the previous round, ch5, 1sc into next ch3 space,
(ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space, ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space, ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space, ch5, 1sc into next ch3 space)* repeat 15 times around.
Ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space, ch3, 1sc into next ch3 space. Join with ch1 + 1hdc into first sc at the beginning of the round to make last ch3.

Round 12: ch1, 1sc into that (ch1 + 1hdc) space of the previous round, 5dc into next ch5 space, ch4picot, 5dc into same ch5 space, 1sc into next ch3 space, 2dc into next ch3 space, ch3picot, 2dc into same ch3 space,

Peachy Peaks Doily - Free Crochet Pattern

This time I am sharing the Peachy Peaks Doily crochet pattern with you. If you can crochet in the round and know how to work the basic crochet stitches, you are good to go. All you need to start is some yarn or thread in the color of your choice and a crochet hook.

Written Pattern:

Size: The doily measures approximately 30 cm (11.8 inches) in diameter.

Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate

Materials Used:
  • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Drops Safran 100% cotton yarn weight/length: 50 g = approx 160 m in the colorway 12 (peach). 30 grams (96 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

Abbreviations (US terms):

st./sts - stitch
ch - chain
sl st. - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
trc - treble crochet

ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into first ch made (into 3rd ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

Join with a sl st. on top of beginning ch3. (48 sts)

Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, 
(skip next st., 1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 5: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch3,
(1dc into next dc st., ch3)* repeat 23 times around.
Join with a sl st. into 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 6: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch4,
(1dc into next dc st., ch4)* repeat 23 times around.

Rustic Table Runner - Easy Crochet Pattern

This time I am sharing my Rustic Table Runner crochet pattern with you. It's an easy yet elegant project for your table or as a gift for any occasion. This table runner pattern will work well for beginners who are familiar with the basic crochet stitches. I made it with Alize Bella Ombre Batik - a gorgeous gradient cotton yarn, it gradually changes color and goes from dark to light.

Written Pattern

Size: The table runner measures approx. 29 cm x 92 cm (11.4 in x 36.2 in)You can adjust the length of the table runner by adding or subtracting pattern repeats. 1 pattern repeat - approx 8cm (3.1in). I made 11 pattern repeats. You can adjust the width of the table runner by adding or subtracting stitches in a multiple of 6 + 5 for the foundation chain.

Skill Level: Easy

Materials Used:

  • Fingering weight yarn, size 1 - super fineI used Alize Bella Ombre Batik 100% cotton yarn in the colorway 7410. 128 grams (461 meters approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
  • 3mm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.


  • Abbreviations (US terms):

    st. - stitch
    ch - chain
    dc - double crochet
    trc - treble crochet

    Instructions

    Beginning (turning) chains count as stitches!

    Start with a loose foundation chain of 65 ch sts. 
    (multiple of 6 + 5 for the foundation chain)

    Row 1 (Right Side): 1dc into 4th ch from hook and into each ch st. across. (63 dc sts including ch3 at the beginning of the row)

    Row 2 (Wrong Side): ch4 (counts as a trc), turn, skip first dc st., 1trc into next dc st., 
    (ch1, skip next dc st., 1trc into next dc st.)* repeat 30 times across. 
    1trc into last dc st. (on top of that turning ch3 at the end of the row)

    Row 3: ch3 (counts as a dc), turn, skip first trc st., 1dc into next trc st., 
    (1dc into next ch1 space, 1dc into next trc st.)* repeat 30 times across. 
    1dc into last trc st. (on top of turning ch4). (63 dc sts)

    Row 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), turn, skip first dc st., 2dc into next dc st.,

    Two Color Round Doily Coaster - Free Crochet pattern


    Today i have a simple yet elegant
    Two Color Round Doily Coaster pattern to share with you. It is made in only 7 rounds using mercerised cotton yarn. You can crochet this in any type of yarn or thread. I used two different colors - gray and pink, but you can just keep it all the same color. This pattern will work very well for those who are beginners at crocheting doilies and coasters, it is worked using the basic stitches.

    The coaster measures approx. 15 cm (5.9 inches) in diameter.

    Skill Level:
    Easy to Intermediate

    Materials used:

    • Sport weight yarn, size 2 - fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla mercerised 100% cotton yarn in the colorways 5326 (gray) and 5313 (dusty rose) . 12 grams (30 metres approx.) of yarn needed for this pattern.
    • 3mm crochet hook.
    • Scissors.
    • Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook.

    Abbreviations (US terms):
    st. - stitch
    ch - chain
    sl st. - slip stitch
    sc - single crochet
    dc - double crochet
    dc2(3)tog - 2 or 3 double crochet closed together

    ch3picot - ch3, insert your hook into first ch made (into 3rd ch from hook), yarn over, pull through all loops on the hook.

    ()* - repeat the instructions between the brackets the number of times indicated.

    Instructions:

    Start with the gray yarn. 
    Ch5, sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Or, you can make a magic (adjustable) ring.

    Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3 (into 3rd ch).

    Round 3: Join the pink yarn to any of dc sts of Round 2 (I joined the yarn with a simple knot). Or, continue with the same yarn.
    ch2 (counts as 1dc of dc3tog), dc2tog into same st. - first dc3tog made,
    (ch5, skip next dc st., dc3tog into next dc st.)* repeat 11 times around. 
    Join with ch2 + 1dc on top of the first dc2tog to make last ch5.

    Round 4: ch1, 1sc into that same (ch2 + 1dc) space of the previous round, ch6,
    (1sc into next ch5 space, ch6)* repeat 11 times around. Join with a sl st. into first sc.

    Round 5: sl st. into next 2 ch sts of next ch6, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into same ch6 space, ch3picot, 3dc into same ch6 space, ch1,
    ((3dc, ch3picot, 3dc) into next ch6 space, ch1)* repeat 11 times around. 
    Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3 (into 3rd ch).
    Ch1, cut off the yarn and fasten off (skip this step when continuing with the same yarn!).


    Round 6: Join the gray yarn to any of ch1 spaces of Round 5. Or, continue with the same yarn by working a sl st. into last ch1 space of Round 5.
    ch1, 1sc into that same ch1 space, ch8,
    (1sc into next ch1 space, ch8)* repeat 11 times around. 
    Join with a sl st. into first sc.

    Round 7: sl st. into next ch8 space, ch1, 6sc into same ch8 space, ch3, 6sc into same ch8 space,

    Join with a sl st. into first sc.
